Video Game Music

History

Since I was a kid, I’ve been fooling around with various Midi programs, mainly Cakewalk and Anvil. Within the past few years, however, I’ve been wrapping my hands around FL Studio and AcidPRO in order to create some remixes of my favorite video game tunes. I’ve compose a mixture of Video Game Remixs and Video Game Inspired music, generally something within the Trance, Industrial, Techno, House or Dance genre.

For a few years, I played in a number of bands, both covering classic rock/blues and arranging originals in a similar style. However, I reached a point where I knew live music was not for me.

Over the past year, I’ve been experimenting with various plug-ins for FL Studio, including a few drum plug-ins, a guitar/bass plugin and Garritan Personal Orchestra, which can be used to create dynamic section or solo classical intruments. I’ve been combining my love of classical, jazz, electronica and chip tune music into a style all my own, and thus far, it’s going pretty well.

Last November, however, I decided to experiment with chip-tunes and put together a Christmas album entitled 8-bit Jesus. Due to it’s growing popularity (as tends to happen with free music downloads) I decided to offer physical copies of the album, with package design by artist, designer and illustrator, Jude Buffum.
